Delete Your Account
We understand that you may want to delete your Qura account and all associated data. We respect your right to be forgotten and will process your request promptly.
Please include the following information in your email:
- Subject: Account Deletion Request
- Your registered email address (the one you use to log into Qura)
- Confirmation statement: "I request the deletion of my Qura account and all associated data"
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently delete the following data:
Account Information
- Email address
- Name and password
- User identifiers (Firebase UID, RevenueCat ID)
Recovery Journey Data
- Streak counts and milestones
- Goals and achievements
- Progress tracking data
Personal Content
- Journal entries
- Personal pledges and notes
- Favorite passages and bookmarks
Chat History
- All conversations with Aida
- Chat context and history
- Saved interactions
Settings & Preferences
- Triggers you've identified
- Personal configurations
- App preferences
What Data May Be Retained
For legal and security purposes, we may retain limited information:
- Subscription records - Required by tax law (anonymized after 7 years)
- Transaction history - Kept by Apple/Google per their policies
- Anonymized analytics - Aggregated usage data with no personal identifiers
- Legal compliance data - Information we're required to keep by law
Note: Retained data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Deletion Timeline
Acknowledgment
We'll confirm receipt of your request within 48 hours
Processing
Your account will be deactivated immediately
Deletion
All personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Confirmation
You'll receive a final email confirming deletion is complete
⚠️ Important: This Action is Permanent
Account deletion cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered, including:
- Your recovery progress and streak history
- All journal entries and personal reflections
- Saved Bible passages and favorites
- Chat conversations with Aida
- All milestones and achievements
Please be certain before requesting deletion.
Have an Active Subscription?
Before You Delete
If you have an active subscription, please note:
- Cancel first: We recommend canceling your subscription through the App Store or Google Play before requesting account deletion
- No refunds: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription or entitle you to a refund
- Billing continues: You may continue to be charged until you cancel through the App Store
How to Cancel
iOS (iPhone/iPad):
- Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions
- Select Qura
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Android:
- Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions
- Select Qura
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
